GP Conservation specialises in the treatment of glass, ceramic and stone of all types and periods. This specialisation allows for the treatment of a variety of related materials such as plaster, stucco, enamels, cloisonné, amber, bone, shell and horn.

Undertake all aspects of practical preventive and interventive conservation with the aim of maintaining and improving their stability.
Technical examination, assessment and documentation of objects, giving advice on handling, storing and display of objects, and the contributing to appropriate conservation strategies, as well as treatments such as consolidation, cleaning and repair.
Carry out work of the highest standard on a wide range of ceramic objects.
Demonstrate sound understanding of how objects may be changed or damaged, be able to undertake risks assessments on objetcs and implement good preventive practice wherever possible.
Keep up to date with literature relevant to the field and explore innovative techniques, materials and ideas, and apply them where appropriate.
